Zara 7 months old

Amelia and I went to visit Zara on Friday November 28 , she is getting bigger and still sweet , gentle , very friendly and loves baby carrots!
She followed us around like a puppy,if we would run she would trot after us!

Show Team Clothing Order Update

The 2008 showteam clothing order has officially gone to press. Thank you to all of you who got your information and checks to me. The order is scheduled to be completed on or around December 4, and I will go to pick the items up when they are ready and then bag them up by family. I'll let you know when they are available for pickup in the Livery Office.

Jackets, etc. update

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for all your orders for show team clothes. The orders will go in on Monday and I will let you know when the clothes will be ready. You'll be able to pick them up in the Livery Office.

We were able to give a gift of $400 each to Samuel, Pablo and Jaaciel--so a big THANK YOU to everyone who contributed. The guys do a wonderful job at the barn AND they have to live away from their families for much of the year. So it really means a lot to be able to have that extra money at Christmas time...

Hey everyone. Linda's right. Everyone get a jacket, then we can all match! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA! The lesson yesturday was fun! Bridles are way easy to clean! Anyway, have fun everyone and get the showteam jackets! Can't wait to wear mine. Oh and remember, for all those people who weren't at or weren't paying atention at the last meeting, the showteam jackets are NOT waterproof!

Show Team

     Hey Everyone it's Mattie Fritz here! I'm really excited to be on show team this year! There willto have a fun time.  I know there will be some challenges (like getting on from the ground on Oprah for instance) but  I know I'm going to have LOADS of fun! If anyone has any advice I'm happy to hear it. I'd love to enhance my knowledge in horse back riding.  I have to know.

 I'm extremely overwhelmed and eager to get going and compete in shows with my buds right beside me. But, I will have to practice... ALOT. Can't wait for our next meeting (or lesson)!

Ok so I am pretty excited about this new blog thing so I felt like posting pictures.... I have sent these to a few of you, but to those I haven't, these are just of my group from past lessons. Everyone did a great job at the Halloween show and I will post pics as soon as I develop them!

How to Post

K, once you sign in you should be at your profile page. Under MANAGE BLOGS you should see Miwok Showteam 2008-2009 Season. Right below it is a blue blox that says New Post. Click it. :) Then type in your message and give your message a title. You can change text colors and add in pictures and even preview your post by clicking "preview" right below your title. (Add pictures by clicking on the square that looks like a picture next to the preview button.)

The Team swept the top ribbons this summer at Baywood, Napa and Spring Down, impressing judges with grace and perfect equitation honed through lots of hard work and practice. Pack a picnic and come watch these amazing kids!

If you want feel free to ask questions of the veteran riders. I'm one of them, Alli Fritz, not the one you're thinking of from the meeting though (that was Brina who made the comment). Saturdays are also great learning times for the kids about basic horse knowledge from everybody. Welcome to ShowTeam!!! Its so much fun :)

Could this also be used by show team riders to ask questions of each other? At the meeting on Saturday a veteran rider said she would be available for "newbies" to ask questions. What do others think? Michael

Show Team Logo Clothes Order Form and Sizing Information

Hello Everybody,
An updated roster will follow shortly--I just need to track down a few loose ends.

In the meantime, here as promised is the show team logo clothing order form & sizing info as a pdf file.

If you weren't at the meeting yesterday, it is time to order jackets, as well as new warm-up pants and polos, if you want them.

Just to clarify for the new families--these are all warm-up clothes, and not the show clothes (breeches, jackets, ratcatcher shirt, etc.) that the kids wear to compete.

For everybody: the deadline for ordering these items is November 10--FIRM. The company we work with to produce these items needs to have the order all at once. We won't order these items again until next fall.

And don't forget the voluntary contribution to the holiday gift for the stable crew. Even if you are not ordering clothing, you can contribute to this fund through me. Since some of the guys are going home for their holiday visit in mid-November, we want to get this gift to them before they leave.
